With determination and fire in there bellys the under 12's went on the pitch with all intentions of winnig, And to give the lads the kick start they needed bears kicked to them with joe mcspirit catching the ball and running full length to score there 1st try only 37 seconds into the game followed by a conversion, it was there time now to defend, from the onset it was clear they where not going to let the bears break there defence, with Ross healy, jacob terry, niall kilgannon, tyler mccabe and ellis crosby on there backs they didnt stand a chance against our rhino's in clockface kits,we were seeing a great team display with tackles flying in from all areas of the pitch, As the shouting n cheering from supporters got louder the miners got stronger, With matthew rynn takin the 1st run he powered his way way through , with the next couple ov impressive runs from tyler mccabe and ross healy with bears players on their backs but with pure grit n determin...

Clock Face 26 - 10 Oldham St Annes
Clock got back to winning ways on Sunday with an 'ugly' 26 - 10 win against Oldham.
The game started brightly enough with Cuttsy scoring for Clock under the sticks several minutes into the first half. However, the game decended into a terrible stop start affair as a result of the excessive number of penalties. The game started to resemble a game of rugby union with the constant peep of the referees whistle. Both teams were on the receiving end.
Clock made several breaks but, were pulled back for forward passes. Eventually, Clock scored again from a slick handling move out wide with Brackers drawing the defence and passing to Hatto who went in at the corner giving Clock a 10-0 lead. However, shortly after Oldham went for 2 points from one of the many penalties in the game and duly converted.
Clock received a penalty when Oldham were caught offside however, the ball failed to find touch and went dead in goal. The rules state ...

Wigan St Pats 22 - 10 Clock Face
Clock succumbed to their first loss of the season after squandering a 10 - 0 lead against Pats. Clock were all over Pats in the first half but, bombed a number of chances that could have left Pats dead and buried by half time had Clock taken them. However, Clock did manage to score twice in the first half, the first from a break 10m out by Brackers, the second from slick play finishing with a try out wide. But, a penalty to Pat's minutes from half time gave them possesion close to the Clock line and Pat's scored out wide to narrow the Clock lead at half time to 10-4. The second half however, was all Pat's. A number of penalties conceded by Clock piggybacked Pat's to the Clock line on a number of occasions and the pressure told a number of times with Clock's line broken 3 times. With Pats leading 18-10 Clock rallied however, Clock struggled to maintain possession when pressuring the Pat's line. Eventually, the fightback faded and Pat's sco...
