Wigan St Pats 22 - 10 Clock Face
Clock succumbed to their first loss of the season after squandering a 10 - 0 lead against Pats. Clock were all over Pats in the first half but, bombed a number of chances that could have left Pats dead and buried by half time had Clock taken them. However, Clock did manage to score twice in the first half, the first from a break 10m out by Brackers, the second from slick play finishing with a try out wide. But, a penalty to Pat's minutes from half time gave them possesion close to the Clock line and Pat's scored out wide to narrow the Clock lead at half time to 10-4. The second half however, was all Pat's. A number of penalties conceded by Clock piggybacked Pat's to the Clock line on a number of occasions and the pressure told a number of times with Clock's line broken 3 times. With Pats leading 18-10 Clock rallied however, Clock struggled to maintain possession when pressuring the Pat's line. Eventually, the fightback faded and Pat's scored again late on to seal the win 22-10.
